My name is Kathy Paiva, aka The Cookie Lady.  A baker’s dozen years ago, my husband Mike and I embarked on an incredible journey together with the creation of our business, Heartsong Cookies LLC.  Little did we know a simple cookie could create such an abundant, full plate life.

And by full plate, I mean a mounded, spilling over the sides, plate life.  Mike and I could not have imagined the rich relationships we would develop with our fellow vendors and customers.  Market people are a special breed.  They seem to share the quality I admire the most, a passion for whatever they create…from a warm cup of coffee to a sweet jar of jam. 

Oh, the market customers …they share that same passion for life.  They open their arms to welcome us in and for that we are forever grateful.  It is these relationships that fuel the many long hours in the kitchen baking a simple cookie or hundred. The smiles, the hugs, they keep us coming back for more.

With this blog I hope to give you a behind the apron peek into the life of this cookie baker, painter of birds, chronic restaurant goer and vintage shopper. A recipe or two might make an appearance, but for now I simply want to welcome you into our life…A Full Plate Life.
